Mission: Our mission is to cultivate a nurturing environment that celebrates all cultures, promotes self-expression, and empowers our students to become confident and skilled dancers. Through our commitment to excellence, we aim to inspire a lifelong love for dance while fostering a strong sense of belonging and pride.
Vision: At Elevé Dance ATL, we envision a vibrant and inclusive community where individuals of all backgrounds can come together, express their creativity, and embrace the beauty of dance.
Sydnee Carroll has been dancing since the young age of 3 years old and decided to begin the Elevé Dance ATL program in June of 2023 to provide a safe space for minorities to receive classical and conservatory style dance training in the Atlanta Metropolitan area. Sydnee trained professionally at Howard University under the Theatre Arts-Dance program. During her time at Howard University she taught youth dance classes at Princess Mhoon Dance Institute, Joy of Motion Dance Centre, and Center City Public Charter Schools in Washington D.C. Ms. Carroll has also trained and performed professionally under a variety of programs including four consecutive summers of Dance Theatre of Harlem's Intensives, Complexions Contemporary Ballet Winter and Summer Workshops and Intensives, Alvin Ailey Summer Intensives, and the Houston Contemporary Dance Company's Summer Intensive.
From 2017-2019 Sydnee spent her summers leading a summer dance camp for children ages 4-6 through DC Parks & Recreation and through this experience she found her passion and purpose in the dance world. She loves working with children and has a very kind and nurturing approach to teaching.
My name is Maria Battista and I was born in Venezuela. I started dancing at the age of 7 years old and dance is part of the person I am today. I have trained and performed in a variety of styles with a focus on ballet, lyrical, jazz and tap. I have attended multiple competitions at different levels throughout my dancing career. I started assisting dance classes while attending my studio as I wanted to share my knowledge with kids. I then became a dance teacher for ages 4 to 10 years old and discovered a passion for teaching children and helping them be the best version of themselves. Dance will always have a special place in my heart and my ultimate goal is to have a positive impact in every kids’ life.
